Packaging Update for Clock Spring® Defect Filler

Beginning in spring 2012, Clock Spring Company, LP is making a change to the packaging system for its defect filler putty. Previously, Clock Spring Filler has been packaged in a tube-style delivery system. Over the years, we have received feedback from our customers and continued quality testing, resulting in a variety of enhancements. The new packaging system will provide:

EZ-Open pouch will increase safety and efficiency with ease of access to the filler putty on the job site

Foil pouch system will allow for enhanced shelf-life of filler

Increased performance of filler putty during field application

This video demonstrates what we believe is the easiest way to remove the filler putty from the new foil package for use in the field:

Steps:

1) Gently knead pouch, pushing filler away from bottom of the packet 2) Tear open pouch using the EZ-Open Tab and push out filler using alignment blocks from installation kit 3) If needed, use the included plastic spreader to pull remainder of filler out the end fo the pouch. 4) Combine and mix activator until no visible streaks 5) You are now ready for application – continue installation as outlined at your Clock Spring Training Class and in the Installation Guide.

If you have any questions about this packaging change, please contact a member of our Technical Sales Team or email us directly at sales AT clockspring DOT com
